What skills did you gain or build upon during your role?

Understanding the role isn’t just about the 80 minutes on a rugby field but more so making sure the club runs smoothly, organisation is key as is good communication. More so within lockdown, ensuring players welfare was being monitored and any issues being able to help.

What impact has this had on your work, education, or day-to-day life?

It adds to the work load but the results are worth the time and effort. The skills can also be utilised in every day situations and definitely made me a more confident person.

Tell us your favourite thing about the Students' Union!

The ability to make it feel like a strong community no matter your age, race, religion, gender etc. There’s a real sense of belonging.
