Struggling with drinking and drug use can be seen as a taboo subject at University and is often passed off as “uni culture”, but some students genuinely struggle and it can lead to a bigger problem. Working with Forward Leeds and the Student Support services providing more tailored support around drug and alcohol use may help students before it gets to a bigger problem or if they find themselves struggling. Support may also be available to others who are effected by a students drug or alcohol use, such as flatmates or friends, if they find themselves struggling in that environment.
