A STRONG VOICE FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Hey there! 

My name is Mark. I hope to represent YOU as International Student Officer on the Student Council.

I am, of course, an international student myself, but not only that. I am also a post-graduate & mature student. I am an immigrant, so understand what it is like coming to new to a place: the excitement & the challenges. I have been fortunate enough to have lived in many countries, & as a result have a broad view of the world. Varied life experiences, from being an older student, have given me sharp leadership, organizational & problem-solving skills.

Should you kindly cast your vote for me, I shall ensure that the voices of ALL the international students will be heard. Further, any academic, bureaucratic, or personal concerns, will be met with sensitivity, speed, & discretion.

Some of the proposals I shall table are:

• Cultural & activity trips exploring Yorkshire & beyond.
• Specific social events for International Students, as well as mixing it up with other groups.
• Traditional festive events during the quieter times on campus over the holidays.
