Anita Chippendale
Interfaith Officer Candidate
Introduction
Hello! I’m Anita and I am running for Interfaith Office because I want to support and promote the work of the Faith Societies and encourage the inclusion of other underrepresented Faiths and cultures, working towards a fully inclusive and educational culture within the University.
Experience and Skills
I am a practicing Christian and have experience working within my local ‘Churches Together’ group. As a mature person, I have spent many years in the world of work and have worked with many people from a number of faiths and cultures. I have also grown to appreciate that I do know ‘that I don’t know what I don’t know’. I am eager to personally learn more about all Faiths that are represented in the University and share this knowledge as part of my time in this position.
My Pledges
If I'm elected, I pledge to:
1. Introduce multifaith events, such as discussion groups.
2. Promote a range of Faith and cultural events to provide education to all.
3. Support the creation of new societies related to Faith and culture.
4. Work with the Student Council, not only as Interfaith Officer, but to support other officers in delivering campaigns.
