Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2024

homepagebannerlatestnews

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for the third year running we are hosting a special Tea on the Landing (2nd October) supporting the Charity ‘Breast Cancer Now’

Alongside the usual offer at tea on the landing there will be homemade cakes on sale, and we will be handing out resources on how to check your chest from the charity ‘ Coppafeel’ .

At ToL there will also be a prayer tree. Cards will be available for you to write a loved one’s name on, who have been affected in any way by breast cancer, to hang on the tree. These names will then be taken into the Chapel and placed at the foot of the altar. They will be prayed for at Mass in the Chapel at 1.05pm, which everyone is very welcome to attend. The prayer tree will be outside of the chapel for the duration of October.

If staff are on campus that day, please feel free to pop along and show your support.
