Richard Walker

Chief Executive Officer

My role is to manage the operational side of the Union including management of the staff team whilst developing the Union with the Trustee Board, students and staff colleagues. I work closely with the Elected Officers providing support, training and advice and work with the Board on creating our strategy, Charity policies and procedures. I am a senior staff member within the Union. I am passionate about the positive impact Student Unions’ play in people’s lives.

Jo Barton

Deputy CEO / Commercial Manager

I am here to support the CEO in their role and provide the support for the LTSU team in the absence of the CEO.

Commercially wise, I am here to develop and deliver a diverse and fun events programme alongside the operation of a social space providing quality food and drink at great value pricing for our students.  I work with a team of student supervisors and staff to deliver a friendly customer experience and develop takeaway skills and knowledge for the staff employed.

I am also responsible for the retail provision within LTSU in terms of branded clothing and essential items, along with the oversight of marketing and communications.

I am keen to provide students with space to deliver their events, their way and focus on student input, sustainability and financial support and impact. Creating partnerships where possible to enhance the student experience.

I am passionate about ensuring that the students are at the heart of all that we do.

Iram Jahangir

Communications and Engagement Coordinator

Hi I'm Iram! I am the Communication and Engagement Coordinator here at LTSU, and I'm all about enhancing your student experience, making sure you get everything you can out of your uni experience, including all the fun!

I work as the go-to source for SU updates, capturing all your amazing moments, slaying social media, producing the chaotic tiktoks and helping you peeps with any marketing related questions. Keep them coming! 

I am all for the community that we have here at LTSU and keeping you all connected, supported and in the loop is what I do best. I love my job, no two days are the same, and that's thanks to all of you! Send me any updates, achievements or just tag us on social media we'll try and repost, share, comment and like, we are your biggest fans!

Ellie Millar

Sports and Societies Coordinator  

I am here to lead LTSU’s sports clubs and societies, supporting them in their initial startup, development, and growth. I also lead on the planning and delivery of Varsity and our Annual Awards events that we offer for our students to get involved and be recognised for their contribution. Creating key relationships with Trinity Sport is essential and in the interest of all.

Engagement Manager 

My role is to manage the engagement activity of LTSU which includes representation and democracy, clubs and societies, advice, and events, such as Varsity, STAR awards and our own Annual Awards evening for our students. I work closely with the elected officers; both the full-time officers And the part time officers to support them in their campaigning activity and delivering their manifesto goals. Students or partners might want to contact me if they have any questions about the engagement activity that we deliver.

I am here to ensure that our students can get involved and have their voice heard.

Providing advice and support to students on mental health, housing advice, academic issues, sexual health services and general wellbeing services.

Representation and Democracy Coordinator 

This role works with the Union’s elected representatives to ensure they’re supported in improving student life. The role supports and trains our Course Reps and part-time officers (who sit on Student Council) and also helps to make sure that Ideas that are submitted can be voted on and become a reality.
